A LARGE 19TH CENTURY CHINESE JIAN OR SWORD

94cm flattened diamond section watered steel blade incised with an inscription to either side, characteristic hilt with brass mounts decorated with stylised dragons on a stippled ground, wooden grip, in its brass mounted wooden scabbard decorated to match. Scarce to find Jian of this size. The inscription is a Tang Dynasty poem by Guozhang - A good Sword Smith spent a lot of time (years) to make this sword and name it Long Quan. The colour is white like snow. Other Sword Smith's are Jealous of him for making this exquisit quality sword.
