AN 1803 PATTERN LIGHT INFANTRY OFFICER'S SWORD

73.5cm blade, double edged towards the tip, etched with a maker's panel GILL'S WARRANTED to one side, regulation pierced copper gilt hilt incorporating a crowned GR cypher surmounted by a strung bugle horn, lion's head pommel, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its brass mounted leather scabbard with the maker's details engraved on the top mount. Repair to scabbard.
