A 19TH CENTURY INDIAN TULWAR

75cm sharply curved blade struck with two stamps to one side, later 20th Century white metal hilt profusely decorated with scrolling foliage, flower heads and birds with traces of red enamelled ground, bold elephant's head pommel, the trunk entwining a tiger and forming the guard, stylized bubri decoration to the grip area, contained in its leather wrapped wooden scabbard.
