of typically Greenwich fashion, the single plate with raised medial ridge drawn down to a shallow peak, the broad flared skirt with embossed channel, the arm and neck apertures decorated to match, multiple rivet borders and incised tramline decoration, fine quality strap hooks with pierced quatrefoil washers. Original black varnish finish. Circa 1625. See The London Armourers of the 17th Century by Richardson Pg 9 figures 2a and 2b for identical hooks and similar decoration.
