AN 18TH CENTURY SILVER HILTED SMALL SWORD

70.75cm incurved triangular section blade decorated with a panel of scrolling foliage and the figure of a naked lady bearing a sword and scales and entitled Justika, the delicate hilt with upturned shell guard finely decorated with swirling wavy lines, the quillon block, D-shaped knuckle guard, pommel and grip all decorated to match and bearing indistinct hallmarks, contained in its silver mounted leather wrapped wooden scabbard decorated to match. The chape a replacement.
