A SCARCE 1899 PATTERN CAVALRY TROOPER'S SWORD WITH EXPERIMENTAL SCABBARD

85.5cm slightly curved fullered blade with various Ordnance stamps to the forte and back edge, this also marked /99, regulation steel bowl guard with various Ordnance stamps, two-piece chequered leather grips retained by three rivets, leather wrapped wooden scabbard marked EFD over 99 over an arrow, crowned 75 over E over 01. Clean blade with what appears to be original dried grease.
