AN 1845 PATTERN INDIAN NAVAL CUTLASS

68.5cm slightly curved blade, double edged towards the tip, stamped RBG to one side, maker's stamp for Robert Mole, further marked with an arrow over I for Indian Army or Navy use, regulation black painted steel bowl guard, ribbed metal grip, in its engraved steel mounted leather scabbard. Multiple heavy edge nicks to blade commensurate with use. Circa 1845.
